About Melbourne Rapid Fields

Transforming visual field testing through online, device-independent perimetry

Melbourne Rapid Fields (MRF) brings clinically validated visual field testing to compatible tablets, laptops and desktop computers—supporting efficient testing in clinics and convenient monitoring at home.

Visual field testing

Why perimetry matters in glaucoma care

Visual field testing plays a crucial role in glaucoma management. It helps ophthalmologists and optometrists detect functional vision loss, monitor disease progression, adjust treatment plans and make informed decisions about patient care. Melbourne Rapid Fields extends access to this important test by enabling visual field assessment on compatible portable devices. In the clinic, this can improve flexibility and testing efficiency. At home, patients can perform tests more conveniently, supporting closer monitoring and earlier review when meaningful change is detected.
